How much does a custom die-cut sticker cost?
Across the industry, a 3-inch die-cut sticker runs roughly $1.25 to $1.55 each at 50 pieces, drops to around $0.40 to $0.50 each at 1,000, and keeps falling from there. Smaller sizes cost less. A 2-inch die-cut can land near $0.12 to $0.18 each once you reach several thousand. Those are ballpark ranges. Your real price depends on the exact size, count, and finish you choose.

Why does the per-sticker price drop so much at higher quantities?
Die-cutting has a fixed setup cost. The press has to be loaded, the file laid out, and the cut path registered, and that work is roughly the same whether you are making 50 stickers or 1,000. Spread that setup over more pieces and the cost per sticker falls fast. That is why a run of 50 costs more per sticker than a run of 500, and why bulk orders get so cheap per piece.
What actually sets the price?
Four levers move the number:
- Size. Price scales with square inches. A 2-inch sticker uses about a quarter of the material of a 4-inch, so smaller means cheaper per piece.
- Quantity. Volume breaks usually start at 50 and keep improving past 1,000.
- Finish. Gloss and matte are standard. Specialty finishes like holographic or clear are a small upcharge.
- Material and who makes them. Cheap sticker stock from an overseas dropshipper is not the same product as premium 3M vinyl from a real shop. More on that below.
